Remember What He Said

Hello Kingdom Winners!

Friends my prayer for you this holiday season is that you will remember what He has said. I have been reading through the book of Luke for the month of December. This last chapter certainly stood out to me, and Holy Spirit began to breath on the pages as I reflected on the resurrection of Christ. I wish to encourage you with what was revealed to me. I know you're probably saying; "why the resurrection Sherri? The world world is focused on the birth". The resurrection was why He came; it was His assignment and mission to fulfill, and He finished it.

Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

It is vitally important that during the celebrations of this holiday season that we do not forget the things He has said. The scriptures that stood out to me were: Luke 24:5-9; 24:11,24:16 24:25-26, 24:31, 24:44-45.

I encourage you to read them when you have a time to sit and allow Holy Spirit to minister to you.

It is so easy to reflect on the negative that's happening in our world currently and in the past, but shift your focus on the words and impressions God has given you about your family and future. John 6:63; "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life". God's words given to us through impressions, logos, rehma, revelation or vision; they give you spirit and life. The word spirit comes from the Greek word pneúma meaning; life, breath, wind. In addition the word life is defined in the Greek as zóé: life, life, both of physical (present) and of spiritual (particularly future) existence.

As Christ followers we must take this time of year that the world chooses to celebrate His birth and remember the things Hes's said about why He was sent. Jesus is truly the reason for the season.

Many face during these times; looking at what they don't have, and who's not around, rather than being able to focus on what He's said about His coming. The scripture says; John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth". His coming was a mission that was fulfilled so that we might have hope and live the lives that God has spoken in His word. Your traumas, pain, isolation, depression, sickness, lack, or whatever adverse circumstance you are up against has no control over your life! God's word over your life will NOT return unto Him void. Will you partner with what He's said? Will you remember the message and the mission of His birth? Will you trust in His promise to you and your seed? Will you choose to take this time of year and lean in? Will you ask Him to speak again? Ask Him to breath life back into your family, your hopes, your dreams, and your mission while you're on earth. ~Selah~ God's word to you will accomplish everything God has sent it out to do. We can partner with Him or He will accomplish it in the life of one who will simply say, "yes". Don't focus on the gifts and the glamour but place your focus and attention on God; the Author and Finisher of our faith. I'd like to personally thank you again for partnering financially with me to do all that the Lord has placed in my heart for 2021. Thank you for choosing to plant your seeds into good ground. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from my family to your beautiful family!
