Don't Isolate Your Mind

The bible over and over again gives us ways to overcome in this world. A sure strategy to experience victory and God's power to overcome is by renewing your mind. In this time of un-certantity, obscurity, and isolation please friends do not isolate your mind. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Paul gives us a picture of this type of mind in Philippians 4:8 (NIV) Finally brothers and sister, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things. Our mind plays a vital role in our decisions and our actions. Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: It is important to think the right things so we can do the right things. As we read Gods word our thoughts have a centraI focus and stable foundation. As we fix our eyes on the purpose of Christ and who He is to us as Christ followers; we win. When we worship we make God large and we decrease the power that wrong thinking has over us. I can remember times in my life where my thoughts lead to wrong actions. Maybe you chose to steal, gossip, lie, fornicate, commit adultery, slander with your words, or maybe you simply choose fear over faith. Whatever ways your thoughts led you; that's ultimately what you chose to do. We can't afford to isolate our minds in negative and debilitating thoughts of fear, anxiety, worry, stress, or confusion. That is he ultimate trick of the enemy. If it doesn't align with God's word and nature of righteousness, peace, and joy then God didn't ordain it. Friends Christ has overcome the world. We can experience victories through Chrsit Jesus in our minds. Wallpaper your mind with the word of God and bring every thought to the obedience of Chrsit and you will diminish arguments and high thoughts against the knowledge of Christ. The mind indeed is a terrible thing to waste (Arthur Fletcher) and as we as Christ followers are instructed to have the mind of Christ, we should see that transformation as it is designed to reflect in our decisions. When we think better we decide better. Friends be encourage to walk out every God assignment and plan in your life. Trust God and do good.
